About Rob

Rob Wilson is the Global Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at BTY Group. He leads BTY’s strategic growth plan for the firm’s expansion across North America and EMEA.

Over a career spanning more than 20 years, Rob has established himself as a trusted advisor in construction finance, loan monitoring, and risk management.

He joined BTY’s Vancouver headquarters and swiftly advanced into senior leadership by combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic execution. Under his leadership, BTY’s Project Monitoring & Lender Services unit scaled into a $50B+ portfolio spanning real estate, social infrastructure, and industrial developments across more than 20 offices worldwide, supporting key expansions into markets including Halifax, Edmonton, Victoria, London, and Dublin.

A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS), Rob views firm growth and workforce development as inherently connected. He spearheads BTY’s "Leadership Collective" initiative to cultivate future executives, building high-performing regional teams grounded in operational excellence.

His emphasis on corporate responsibility has helped BTY achieve independently verified certifications, including B Corp status, seven consecutive years as a Great Place to Work, certification from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business, and EcoVadis recognition.

Beyond internal operations, Rob has contributed significantly to industry innovation and community engagement. He helped lead BTY’s landmark national study for the Assembly of First Nations, which established integrated methodologies to quantify long-term infrastructure and housing needs across more than 600 Indigenous communities.

He co-developed a first-of-its-kind Loan Monitoring micro-credential at Vancouver Community College and contributed to the Making Mass Timber Work for High-Rise Residential in BC guide.

Rob currently serves on the Tsawwassen First Nation Economic Development Advisory Committee and has held several leadership roles with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, including Interim Chair of the Americas and Governing Council Member.

A frequent speaker at real estate and industry forums, Rob continues to support the advancement of construction risk advisory and collaborative infrastructure delivery.
