About Danish

The digital revolution in construction is fundamentally altering how complex commercial and institutional projects are planned and executed, replacing traditional, reactive problem-solving with predictive, data-driven precision. At the vanguard of this transformation is Danish Javed, the Director of Construction Systems and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) at MP Lundy Construction. Joining the firm in 2021 as VDC Manager, Danish’s impact was immediate and profound. Within just four years, he established a comprehensive, enterprise-wide digital transformation strategy, earning a rapid promotion to Director. Holding a Master of Science in Construction Management, a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, Danish brings over fifteen years of deep technical expertise to his role. He has successfully developed and implemented a company-wide VDC framework that seamlessly integrates Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital workflows into everyday project management and field operations. Under his leadership, VDC adoption at MP Lundy skyrocketed from a single pilot project to full integration across all active projects, revolutionizing the firm’s approach to quality management, project controls, and operational efficiency.

Danish’s ability to turn cutting-edge technology into practical construction solutions is exceptional. On a massive 256-bed Long-Term Care facility, he led the VDC coordination effort, guiding teams and subcontractors to resolve over 800 complex conflicts prior to construction. By eliminating clashes before a single shovel hit the ground, this proactive approach prevented costly rework and significant schedule delays, proving the immense value of digital delivery. He also spearheaded one of Revizto’s earliest Canadian pilot implementations on a flagship retail project, utilizing cloud-based clash detection to avoid hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential coordination costs.

Beyond his technological achievements, Danish is a deeply committed mentor and a collaborative leader. Recognizing that digital transformation requires industry-wide capability, he created a groundbreaking subcontractor mentorship and digital upskilling program. This initiative empowers local trade partners to adopt VDC technologies, significantly improving collaboration and productivity across the entire supply chain. His leadership extends beyond his specific department; when a sudden requirement for a leadership role came up, Danish seamlessly stepped in to assume Project Director responsibilities across three major projects, providing critical stability and continuity. Danish’s unique combination of structural engineering knowledge, digital innovation, and people-focused leadership makes him a standout figure in the Canadian construction industry. He is not merely implementing software; he is actively building a smarter, more connected, and highly efficient future for construction delivery. His relentless dedication to bridging the gap between advanced technology and practical field execution continues to set new benchmarks for excellence across the sector.
