About
Andrew
Andrew Fettback leads operations, pre-construction, and estimating for Fettback & Heesterman Energy Ltd. (F&H), an electrical contracting firm he co-founded in 2023. In under two years, Andrew built F&H from the ground up into a 150-person enterprise, navigating British Columbia's competitive electrical market through a combination of trade-honed leadership and forward-thinking business strategy. Over a career spanning more than two decades, Andrew has progressed from a pre-apprentice on the tools through every tier of the trade—including roles as Red Seal Electrician, Superintendent, Project Manager, District Manager, and Vice President—before establishing his own company. His technical and project portfolio includes major contributions to landmark developments such as the Saskatoon Civic Operations Centre, The Post heritage redevelopment in downtown Vancouver, and the CRD Goldstream Water Treatment Plant Upgrades.
Under Andrew's direction, F&H has quickly established a reputation for executing complex, high-stakes contracts across the province. The firm secured a contract at BC Place to deliver essential electrical infrastructure upgrades ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, operating under demanding, time-sensitive project conditions. F&H has also earned back-to-back VRCA Gold Awards—first in 2024 for the SAAM Towage project, where his team acted as both Prime and Electrical contractor inside an active marine facility without interrupting port operations, and again in 2025 for Speeders Raceway in Richmond. To support this rapid scaling, Andrew invested early in modern enterprise infrastructure, adopting Accubid for estimating, implementing NetSuite ERP for real-time financial tracking, and becoming the first Canadian contractor to integrate the procurement platform Remarcable. He has also driven the adoption of design-assist contracting, early pre-fabrication planning, and clean energy services like EV charging, solar, and Distributed Antenna Systems.
In addition to holding a Professional Gold Seal Certification (PGSC) and pursuing LEED BD+C accreditation, Andrew serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Electrical Contractors Association of British Columbia (ECABC). In this provincial governance role, he helps shape labor relations, safety standards, and policy frameworks related to BC's clean energy transition. An active member of the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA), Andrew leverages his two decades of field-level experience to mentor emerging tradespeople and foster an organizational culture centered on transparency, professional development, and accountability. Through his dual commitment to operational excellence and industry mentorship, Andrew continues to advance the standards of electrical contracting across Western Canada.
