Mimi Wilde

Mimi Wilde leads strategic growth, client relationships, and multidisciplinary project delivery across the energy industry as Global Director, Energy Client Operations at Hatch Ltd. With over 15 years of energy and nuclear sector experience, Mimi has risen rapidly through the ranks at Hatch—moving from project manager to account and regional manager, and ultimately global director within seven years. Throughout her career, she has managed complex, high-stakes assignments, including directing teams of over 20 engineers, architects, designers, and subcontractors on confidential nuclear projects and serving as Area Manager for the NexGen uranium processing facility. Her emphasis on technical excellence and collaborative delivery earned her a Hatch Leadership Award as well as a Client Relationship Award for her work with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories.

Holding a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa, Mimi is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario. She also earned the Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) designation from PEMAC via Northern Lakes College, winning the Capstone Award for an innovative plan to optimize steam trap preventative maintenance in aging facilities using infrared and ultrasonic non-destructive testing. A passionate advocate for equipment reliability and smart asset management, Mimi has served on the CANDU Owners Group Equipment Reliability Peer Group, sits on the CSA Group Technical Committee N290.2 for Emergency Core Cooling Systems in nuclear power plants, and currently leads a new sector practice focused on improving the reliability, performance, and availability of client assets.

Beyond her technical and commercial responsibilities, Mimi is a dedicated industry volunteer, mentor, and advocate for women in STEM. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries (OCNI) and previously co-founded and served as Chapter President for the Chalk River chapter of North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN), which was named Best Canadian Chapter under her leadership. At Hatch, Mimi has served as the senior female organizer for the annual "Women in Power" event for two consecutive years and has earned a nomination for a Mentorship Award for her work supporting female professionals across the power sector. A regular speaker and panelist at national and international energy forums—including the SMR Forum, Waste Management Symposium, and Women in Nuclear Canada conference—Mimi actively mentors early-career engineers and students while helping shape the next generation of leadership in Canada’s nuclear and energy industries.
