About Landon

Landon Douglas leads PCL Construction’s Special Projects Division in British Columbia, overseeing a 60-person multidisciplinary team that delivers over $150 million annually. Over a 12-year career with PCL, Landon has progressed from a co-op student to a senior executive, accumulating versatile experience across special projects, major builds, civil infrastructure, and clean energy. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Systems from the University of Regina, he brings deep expertise in collaborative delivery models—including Construction Management, EPC, Design-Build, and Progressive Design-Build—across the commercial, education, aviation, civil, and renewable sectors.

Earlier in his career, Landon served as Project Manager for the landmark $540 million Stantec Tower in Edmonton, leading the construction of Western Canada's tallest building. Under his management, the project overcame complex design and engineering constraints—including executing a massive, intricate transfer slab pour—to achieve LEED® Gold certification and earn a 2020 ENR Global Best Projects Award for Retail/Mixed-Use.

From 2021 to 2024, Landon directed PCL’s strategic entry and operational expansion into the Australian renewable energy sector. Establishing a new regional office of over 50 staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, he oversaw a portfolio generating approximately $400 million in annual solar volume, including the $443 million Stubbo Solar Farm. Beyond project execution, Landon developed and implemented structured leadership training programs to equip local emerging leaders, while pioneering sustainable field practices—such as an industry-recognized initiative that repurposed recycled plastic waste into durable cable covers for trenching.

In late 2024, Landon was promoted to lead PCL’s Special Projects Division in BC, where he has since doubled annual project volume, expanded the region's market portfolio, and strengthened key client relationships. A champion of practical digital innovation, he introduced and piloted the HammerTech safety platform within PCL, modernizing field-level safety tracking and driving measurable operational improvements that led to broader company adoption.

Landon is equally dedicated to developing people and giving back to the construction community. He actively invests in mentorship, sponsorship, and professional development programs to build high-performing teams grounded in accountability. He maintains an active leadership presence across key industry associations, including the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA), BC Construction Roundtable (BCCR), Urban Development Institute (UDI), Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (ICBA), Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES), BC Aviation Council (BCAC), and the Vancouver Board of Trade. Additionally, Landon supports community-focused causes such as Canstruction and the MS Bike Ride, combining technical expertise, global market vision, and a people-first approach to advance Canada's construction sector.
